Stavri Kalinov

Kalinov was born in 1944 in Vidin. In 1969 he was accepted for wood carving in the Nikolai Pavlovich Higher institute of Fine Arts,and in 1977 he graduates from the Academy of Fine Arts(Sofia)under the patronage of professor Asen Vasilev.
He has numerous exhibitions in Bulgaria, Austria, Australia,Germany,Spain,England,USA.Two years he worked and exhibited his works in galleries in Switzerland.
Stavri Kalinov is very interesting either as a person ,or as an artist.He experiments with vatious materials and styles.-silk collages,metal,miniature plastic works made through the Kalinoographic tecnique, bronze and silver miniatures,sculpture and portraits through the use of a special techiniques
