Lake Balaton

This 77 km long lake is the largest lake in the Central Europe
In every seasons, you can have great programmes in and around
Balaton.
You can swim in the Lake, or in Aquaparks as well.
You can also sail, travel on pedal boat, cycle, do mountain climbing
in the northern side,or just trek.
If you are not a real sportman, you can go winetasting
to Badacsony, bungee jumping to Siófok or just having a
sightflying over the Lake.
You can find resorts all over the lake, on the historical northern side
or on the new southern side.

The lake has been used by holidaymakers since the middle
of the eighteenth century. It was almost let off in these times,
because of having more soil, but fortunately people found
warm water on the western side of the lake and it survived
this disaster.
In the communist era of Hungary, it was a famous
meeting-point of Germans.
Nowadays, Lake Balaton is one of the most famous places
in our country,but it is not just a ‘money-vampire’ touristical
paradise, many people live around the lake, so you won’t leave here the half of your fortune for a bread in a shop.
