RED BULL ROMANIACS 2010

Thanks to his adventurous style, Martin Freinademetz, the former multiple World & European snowboard Champ and the organizer of the “Red Bull Romaniacs Hard Enduro Rallye", explored the Carpathians Mountain areas on his own enduro bike for many years, before coming up with this solid and unique hardcore competition in 2004.

He had the off road experience and skills, knew the geographical areas better than anyone, so could present an unforgettable Enduro Rallye experience.

Amazing mountain climbs and downhills, fantastic single trails, add in navigation…and thanks to the numerous exploring and tour guide experiences, Martin figured out that adding a time-attack to those tracks would leave him an ideal World Class motorbike Enduro Rallye on tracks never used before.

The offroad competition

The four cross country stages take place:

27th June / Start & finish Sibiu

28th June / Start Sibiu - finish in the city of Petrosani (overnight)

29th June / Start Petrosani - finish Sibiu

30th June / Start & finish Sibiu Prize giving and Party Party

The length of the track varies for every class, meaning 100km or 200km per day.

The main challenges of the course are the technical parts, which lead through wood areas, where you may struggle over trees, rocks and rubble.

Petrol fuel stops are placed over distances of aproximately 70 km, where contestants refuel their motorcycles and have the oportunity to refresh themselves with Red Bull energy drink and water.

The track is marked with banners, signs and colored markings, but to g

uarantee the safety of the contestants, they will have the official track of the contest loaded onto GPS devices. The markings and GPS devices aid navigation, road books and other expensive technical equipment are unnecessary.

Every single Pro, expert single rider and team will have a rental minitracker.
