The Statue of Decebal is a 55 m high statue carved in stone on the rocky side of the river Danube.The statue represents the last Dacian king, Decebal, and is the highest statue in Europe . It is only 6 m shorter that the Statue of Liberty and 8 m taller tham the monument of Christ in Rio de Janeiro and aproxmately 10 m lorger them the legendary Colossus of Rhodes.
The statue overlooks on the other side of the river in the banks of Serbia at the approximately 2000 years old memorial "TABULA TRAIANA" This monument was built in the name of emperor Traianus. Emperor Traianus was the enemy of kinf Decebal in the year 101-102, 105-106 in the Dacian-Roman war.
