Spain is the most prolific country with Universal Grand Masters in oil on canvas .... We have Picasso, Dali, Goya, El Greco, Velazquez ... and many others ( not considered as Universal, but all of them Grand Masters, as . Zurbarán, Valdés Leal, Sorolla ...). The bests Grand Masters in Fine Arts are Spanish ... Andy Warhol is a begginer compared to Goya, or the main dutch painter ... Rendbrant is another good Grand Master, and Tizziano... or Durero, from the Deutschland ...

Renaissance is of Italy, but tell me a Grand Master in Italy in XVIII or XIX century ... I mean Grand Master in Fine Arts...

Impresionism was discovered by Velazquez ( 400 years ago, see the rose in the hand of  "Las Meninas", zooming on it ... Most experts agree in this ) or Goya ( 250 years ago. Goya is one of the best GM in Fine Arts in the world )

Scultupture was smashed by ancient Greece or Italy... Alabaster... Well later we have Rodin, or Gargallo, in Spain...But wooden religious sculptures, called "tallas", one more time are Spaniards.

And artist needs to develop his own art, they want not to copy any other art made before... Thats why Greece and Italy smashed and finished classical sculptures.... Nobody wants people to tell "Their sculptures are like Roman scultupures ). Rodin discovered his own and special style.

In arts, you have many ways to walk, but a Grand Master closes this ways
Thats what El Greco, Velazquez , Goya or Picasso did

Well 15,000 years ago we have paintings in Altamira,Cantabria, Spain, modern art ! Impressive, and great paintings ... on a wall, in a cave. And I think we dont need to upload anything of Altamira... you just type and search ... I am talking of Arts, 15,000  years ago.. what about Fine Arts in Europe ? Search in Wikipedia ... 12.000 - 15.000 BC. Art in Spain, Altamira

You may see one oil on canvas in Paris, very famous since Da vinci code ... but Leonardo was not a big Grand Master in oil on canvas ... It took him over 30 years to make a picture like that. Italian drawings are great. Italian artists discovered and stablished the rules in perspective ... It took the human being 20 centuries to see the third dimension on a paper, and try to represent 3 dimensions in a paper, that has only two, did you think about this before ? ...
See Piero de la Francesca or Andrea del Sarto drawings in Ufizzi museum ... They are Grand Masters, but with a pencil in his hands, on a paper... not in oil on canvas. They have some oil on canvas production... but in that years in Italy you had 2 schools ... The Venice school, and the Rome/Milan school.. One focused in the colour, the other in the drawing ( I like Art a lot , I think myself, haha! ) ... Well, Tizziano vs Tintoretto (Please Danila, check the names )

Thats my opinion in Arts, and I like Arts a lot , specially modern Art (Abstract Expressionism, 1950, USA, like Mark Rotcko, or Jackson Pollock, or De Kooning ... or the Bauhaus experience - about 1920 , or before -, Duchamps and Vassily Kandinsky...  )
I hope you like this little introduction, and our production. Enjoy the pictures

Yours, Josele

  2. Hi Veselina,

You are right. We have to write down the name of the pictures. They are in contact with our Arts, History teachers, and I can help them ... But the job is on the correct way, and we are on time ( for first, good ! )

I think we have a wide space for cards with pictures like these ...

Ah ! Take a look at Spanish Museums. I think we have good links there...

    Yours, Josele
